Our members primarily play recorders, viols, flutes, violins and other early instruments, but all instruments are welcome! To join, please contact our President, Elan Dresher, at info@tempotoronto.net. The yearly membership fee is $100 and a single workshop fee is $20. Fees for attending a first meeting will be waived, and any student may participate for free. Our venue has changed! Please read!
Workshops run monthly on Sundays, September to May, 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
Our new venue is The Bishop Strachan School (BSS). We will be playing in the Main room of the Student Centre.
Entry/Exit
TEMPO participants should enter and exit BSS via the Atrium, also called the Senior School entrance, off Russell Hill Rd. It is best to route to 365 Russell Hill Rd, rather than the BSS official address, as BSS on map apps brings you to Lonsdale Rd. The recommended Russell Hill Rd entrance is a lot closer to the Student Centre.
Parking
We can park at the School at both the Russell Hill and Lonsdale entrances. If parking at the Lonsdale entrance, we have to make our way to the Atrium entrance via the exterior of the school. Parking is also available on surrounding streets.
Sessions will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those who cannot attend in person.
Those attending in person will need to bring their music, a stand, and their instrument.
TEMPO welcomes donations to support our activites. TEMPO is a registered charity that can issue official tax receipts for donations received.
